Should ESPN Have Fired Rob Parker?

Rob Parker, an ESPN analyst who drew backlash for asking if Redskins’ quarterback Robert Griffin III was “black enough,” got canned by the network today. After the comments, Parker received a 30-day suspension.

The network released a statement on their decision: “Rob Parker’s contract expired at year’s end. Evaluating our needs and his work, including his recent RG3 comments, we decided not to renew his deal,” an ESPN spokesperson said in a statement.
